There are two configuration files that can be formed in a professional setting foxbase-LAN
  • CONFIG file. SYS
    is a system file for configuration. Contain information or instructions yanag will do when the computer is turned on. By providing instruction in CONFIG.SYS, then the default value kmputer system configuration will change. For example to increase / decrease the value of the memory available at the time of the operation of reading or writing, should ditambahakan untuka some drivers enable expanded / extenede memory. Two instructions are very dubutuhkan by professional foxbase LAN in the config.sys file : 
    1. BUFFERS =
      These instructions are used to provide a number of BUFFERS (temporary storage) in the RAM memory, to kemudaian transferred to disk, when the computer is turned on. Larger than BUFFER BLOCK measured in units of memory, approximately 512 bytes. To work well advised to give a value of 20 to 40.
    2. FILES =
      These instructions are used to determine how many files that can be activated and accessed by the operating system and also by professional foxbase LAN. To work well on a professional LAN foxbase fatherly advised to give the value 40.
    How to create a CONFIG.SYS file
    • From the prompt F: \ \> type COPY CON : CONFIG.SYS and press RETURN
    • Successive then type BUFFERS = 30 FILES = 40
    • Press ctrl + z to save the file CONFIG.SYS
  • CONFIG.FP
    This file is a special configuration for professional foxbase-LAN function contents are instructions that specify the initial conditions on the LAN foxbase professional. This is the instruction Beriku tables that may exist in the file CONFIG.FP
